The Competition Commission of India (CCI) announced on 22 October 2026 that it had approved the acquisition of 100% of the equity share capital of Sahrudaya Health Care Private Limited by Maybach Asia Holdings II Pte. Ltd. The decision concerns a proposed corporate combination and constitutes competition-regulatory approval; it does not, by itself, establish that the acquisition has been completed.

According to the official announcement, Maybach Asia Holdings II Pte. Ltd. is a special purpose vehicle established for the proposed transaction. It is indirectly owned by investment funds, vehicles and/or accounts advised and managed by subsidiaries of KKR & Co. Inc.

Sahrudaya Health Care, directly and through its subsidiaries, operates a multi-specialty hospital network spanning 28 hospitals or units and approximately 4,800 beds across southern and western India. The network provides care across more than 80 clinical specialties.

For corporate transaction and legal teams, the development confirms that CCI clearance has been announced for this specific 100% equity acquisition. Parties should distinguish competition-law approval from transaction closing and separately address any other contractual or regulatory conditions applicable to the deal.

The official press release does not announce a general amendment to merger-control thresholds, a change in company filing requirements, or a new compliance deadline for businesses at large.
