1. What this policy covers
This policy covers assureoffice.in, tax.assureoffice.in and the assureOffice products you use, including financial statements, tax preparation, notice management and professional profiles. Each product uses the information needed to provide its features.
2. Information you provide
- Account and firm details: your name, email, contact details, professional or firm information and account settings.
- Client and working records: client identifiers, accounting and tax data, uploaded files, notices, replies and documents you enter, import or fetch through a feature you choose.
- Support and transactions: messages you send us, subscription details, payment confirmations and transaction references where applicable.
- Service information: session information, device/browser details, request logs and activity records used to operate the service and resolve issues.
3. How we use your information
We use this information to provide your workspace, save and retrieve records, prepare the outputs you request, manage authorised account access, process subscriptions, respond to support requests and maintain reliable service. Account and security communications help you manage your use of assureOffice.
Your private client records and connected Google data are not sold or used for third-party advertising.
4. Optional Google Drive connection
Where Google Drive storage is available, your firm admin can connect a Google account through Google's permission screen. We receive the account's basic identity and email to identify the connection, and permission to create and manage files created by or specifically authorised for assureOffice using the limited drive.file permission. This does not grant access to every file in your Drive. Google handles the sign-in; assureOffice does not receive your Google password.
The connection is used to organise notice PDFs, reply attachments and acknowledgements in your connected Drive, check successful uploads and retain file references so you can open your documents from the app. Files are organised by firm, app, client, assessment year and proceeding.
Documents created through this connection are private by default. Google Drive access follows the permissions of that Google account and any sharing your firm chooses. Opening a private Drive document requires an authorised Google account.
Connection credentials are stored encrypted on our application hosting systems so authorised background uploads can continue. App working records, document references, upload status and service backups remain on application hosting systems. Pending document copies may be retained until a Drive upload is verified, supporting reliable delivery.
Data obtained through the Google connection is used for these document-storage and account-connection features. It is not used for advertising, resale or training general-purpose AI models. assureOffice's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. Access and service providers
Private working records are accessed through your account and the team permissions applicable to the product. Service providers such as hosting, email delivery, payment processing and Google Drive handle information needed to provide their respective services.
Support access to private records is limited to information needed for an authorised support request, security investigation or a legal requirement. Information may also be disclosed where applicable law requires it.
Professional profile information you choose to publish through assureCard is visible to people who open the public profile. Publishing a profile does not publish your private client records. Search indexing is a separate profile choice, and unpublishing stops public access through the app.
6. Keeping records protected
We use account access controls, protected sign-in sessions and secure HTTPS connections to safeguard the workspace. We maintain operational logs and backups to support reliability and recovery. Access is limited according to the account and service roles involved.
7. Your choices and record retention
You can update information using the controls available in your product and download or export supported records. Records are retained to support your active workspace, reference history, recovery and applicable record-keeping needs.
For account closure, access, correction or deletion requests, email us from your registered address. We confirm the relevant account or firm's authority and help you identify the records covered by the request. Necessary transaction/security records and recovery backups follow their applicable retention processes.
You can withdraw Google access in your Google Account connections. This stops future authorised Drive operations once access is revoked; it does not automatically delete documents already saved in Drive. You can manage or delete those documents in Google Drive, or contact us about app-managed copies and connection records.
8. Cookies and policy updates
Operational analytics help monitor service reliability and article readership. Normal guest financial conversion uses temporary processing; client work is saved when you choose to save it into your account. A source workbook shared explicitly for troubleshooting follows the support-retention configuration.
Essential cookies support sign-in, sessions and preferences. Connected Google and payment services apply their own privacy settings and policies.
We may update this policy as features develop. The effective date identifies the current version. If the way we use connected Google data changes, we will provide the relevant notice and obtain permission before using it for a new purpose.
