Maharashtra LMPC Registration: Does a Manufacturer, Packer or Importer Need a Separate Certificate?
A Maharashtra business that puts goods into ready-to-sell packages, or imports packaged goods, must examine packaged-commodity registration separately from GST, its import-export code and any permission relating to weighing instruments. The certificate commonly called an LMPC certificate records the person, activities, premises and commodities. It is not a blanket approval of every product label or a certificate of accuracy for the scales used in packing.
