Use previous-year ITR and supporting-data imports

Review eligible filed ITR figures for PY financials, use master templates and import supported ROC information.

Use a filed ITR as a previous-year starting point

  1. Open the selected client and financial period, then Import Centre → Income Tax JSON.
  2. Upload the filed ITR file using Import File. Check its PAN, assessment year and the linked financial period.
  3. For an eligible immediately preceding-year ITR-3, ITR-5 or ITR-6, choose Use as PY Financials in the imported-files table.
  4. Inspect recognised figures and mapping in the preview. Select Use as Previous Year Financials only after review.
Review points
  • Existing PY TB rows block this import to avoid accidental overwrite or double counting. Do not delete reviewed data merely to bypass that check.
  • Only figures present in the filed ITR are brought in. Missing opening capital, partner breakup, ageing, MSME detail and PPE movements are not invented. Add the supporting detail separately.

Use supporting templates

Supporting Data includes a Master Template for TB and disclosures. Use Download Template, fill the relevant sheets, then Upload Filled and review the preview. Use the available disclosure/working templates for information that your TB does not contain.

Company master and share-capital information

Use Create from ROC Docs when creating a company, or Import Centre → ROC Docs in an existing client. Supported AOC-4/MGT-7 documents can supply information for review. Inspect recognised master/share-capital details before applying them; confirm the relevant document period.

Copy a year from another saved client record

Import Centre → Another Client offers a reviewed copy workflow. Select the source client, financial period/version, source year and destination CY/PY. Dates and entity type must match. Review the preview and destination before confirming; copying a year is not a merge of all client records.
